Originally conceived as a full-service, on-site stylist for cancer patients, the service quickly expanded to include anyone physically unable to visit a traditional salon or barber. The success of Runs with Scissors is a direct reflection of Patty’s personal commitment to compassion, quality service and accommodation. Runs with Scissors maintains a considerable investment in portable salon equipment and technology. This allows our stylists the ability to offer full salon services in your home or at your assisted care facility with minimal intrusion and no mess afterwards. In harmony with the original founding concepts of compassion and caring, Runs with Scissors is active in the community, and encourages its employees to do the same. Currently, we sponsor free hair cut days at local nursing homes, provide educational speakers for cancer support groups, and sponsor employee runners in marathons supporting cancer and diseases of the aged.
